COMPOSITION, OBJECTIVES & FUNCTIONS

The IQAC is a dynamic and catalytic system of the institution to revamp the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

Functions

  • Development of quality benchmarks for the various academic and administrative performances of the institution.
  • Documentation of the various programmes and activities conducted at the institutional and departmental levels.
  • Documentation of the activities of the teachers going for orientation programmes, refresher courses and other short-term courses.
  • Ensuring active involvement of teachers in research and motivating teachers to take up research projects.
  • Regular intimation to the teachers on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Collecting and analyzing feedback from students, teachers, parents, and Alumni on Curriculum and other quality-oriented processes of the institution.
  • Conducting Academic, Administrative, Examination, Gender and Green Audit annually.
  • Organizing seminars, workshops and discussions for quality promotion of the institution.
  • Conducting term-wise meetings of the IQAC committee
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC

Strategies:

  • Timely intimation of the information on the quality parameters as suggested by UGC and NAAC
  • Regular analysis of the progressive performance of the academic and administrative processes of the institution

An Internal Quality Assessment  Cell functions  in the college to ensure  the planning  and effective implementation of programmes charted  out for every academic year.

Teachers attended Courses (Orientation, Refresher etc.) 

The institution gives special emphasis on sending teachers to Professional Development Programmes to make the teachers not only efficient but also effective. In the last five years eight faculty members have gone for FDP Programme to pursue their doctoral research (Ph.D.). Fifteen faculty members attended Refresher Courses and seven Orientation Programmes. Eleven faculty members attended Short-term Programmes.

INDUCTION DAY 

Induction Ceremony is a special one for the management, the teachers and the senior students of the college as it is a celebration of the entry of the youngest and newest members into the Fatima Family. 

UG Induction Day 2016
The UG Induction Day 2016 programme that was  held on 27 July 2016 started with a prayer dance by Ms Vishnu Priya, Ms Aardra P. Manoj, Ms Shruthi S. R. and Ms Keerthana S. It was followed by a welcome address by Dr A.R.Titus,  Vice-Principal of this institution.The  Principal, Dr Vincent B. Netto, delivered the Presidential Address, which was followed by a violin recital by Ms Jency Fernandez of S5 B. A. English. The chief guest of the day, Dr AyoobSulaiman, Principal, TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, delivered the inaugural address.This was followed by a message by the manager, Rev. Fr Anil Jose, and a fusion song by the students of the Dept of English. Mr Sajith Thomas, an acclaimed and much sought-after career guru in Kerala, delivered an inspirational talk. The next item was a skit performed by the students of the dept of English. It was followed by the PTA  Vice-President, Mrs Umayamma’s felicitations. The programme came to a close by the vote of thanks proposed by Dr S. Parvathy, Convener of the programme.
