CAREER GUIDANCE & PLACEMENT CELL

The Career Guidance Cell gives the students information about the various courses offered by the colleges under the universities in Kerala and the neighbouring states and also offers advice regarding their job prospects. It also holds meetings with parents with a view to disseminating details about the various academic avenues open before their wards.

Soft Skill Development

Skill Enhancement Women Empowerment Programme

Skill Enhancement Women Empowerment Programme is a venture of Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM), Govt. of Kerala for colleges to develop soft skill for girl students. It focusses on computer operational skills, communication skills, behavioral and interpersonal skills and personality development.

In our institution, the program was conducted during the years 2012-13,2013-14 and 2014-15. A well-equipped computer lab was set up in the 2nd floor of PG Block.

 The following sessions were included.

  3. Skills, abilities and aptitudes
  4. Coping with change
  5. Stress management
  6. Proactivity
  7. Positive thinking
  8. Teamwork
  9. Self-motivation and decision making
  10. Values and ethics
  11. Grooming, manners and culture
  12. Active listening
  13. Negotiation
  14. Relationship
  15. Conflict and role play

A total of 240 students were enrolled for the programme and certificates were issued for 109 students who successfully completed the course. The following resource persons engaged the classes.
